Owned and operated by Craig and Deb Shaw, we exclusively breed Brittanys.
Shaw's Grouse Haven Kennels have been breeding
and training Brittanys since 1983. My father acquired our first brittany in
1961.
In the early 80's, I started guiding hunts at Hunters Creek Club in
Metamora, Michigan. I bought Rex, our first britt, in 1983
and Rose soon
followed. They formed the foundation for our kennels.
Our passion is hunting grouse and woodcock, and the open prairies of
Saskatchewan for huns and sharp-tail grouse.
Our pups have placed in field
trials, in the show ring, and earned AKC Master Hunting titles.
Our goal is to
produce dual quality dogs that hunt smart and also are a joy in the home.

The Brittany: A medium sized sporting dog, most Brittanys are about 30 - 40 pounds and 20
inches
at shoulder. The color should be dark orange and white or liver and white. These dogs
are good-natured,
affectionate, good with children, obedient, and low maintenance. Brittany's are
versatile hunters that can
easily be trained to retrieve in water and on land.

Our Puppies: All of our puppies are from AKC registered parents, with OFA certified hips. The puppies have their first puppy shots, tails docked, and are health guaranteed. They make great pets and are first rate pheasant, quail, and other game bird hunters.
